About the College • Enroll anytime during the year to meet licensing requirements. • Gain 6 units / 355 clock hours of course work in field training (Intro. to ECE Environment and Childcare Provider Practicum) in your current child care center work environment. • Transfer units can be applied toward our certificate. • Course meet the State of California, Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division requirements under Title 22 regulations for preschool / day care center teachers and directors. • Transfer of Credit to Other Institutions - Course credits that are earned are not universally accepted by other institutions of higher learning. Decisions concerning that acceptance of course credit by other institutions are made at the sole discretion of the governing body of those institutions. California College of Early Childhood Education does not imply nor guarantee that course credits will be accepted by or transferable to any other college, university, or institution and it should not be assumed that any course credits can be transferred. Each institution has its own policies governing the acceptance of credit from other institutions. California College of Early Childhood Education's Misson Statement The primary mission of California College of Early Childhood Education is to instruct students to such competency levels that they are qualified for initial employment and/or career advancement in the Early Childhood Education field.

California College offers a fast paced program on Saturday that doesn't interfere with your employment. Students can receive a Preschool Substitute Teacher Certificate in as little as five Saturdays and a Preschool Teacher Certificate in as little as ten Saturdays by taking online or blended modules.

Face to face Classes are scheduled on Saturdays from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. Text books will be issued to student first day of class and returned the last day of class. Modules are scheduled to be completed in five Saturdays. You will earn three semester units. The Saturday classes allows students to have employment during the week.

All instructors have a BA or MA in the field of Early Childhood Education, Human Development, child development or related fields.

Blended classes offers face to face instructions on Saturday with online components during the week. This allows students to attend class for four hours on Saturday from 8am-12pm or 12:30pm-4:30pm and complete additional hours required using a virtual classroom portal. Students also have the option of joining the class online or face to face format when they sign up for blended classes. The virtual classroom portal allows the student to watch videos, parcicipate in group activities, reading handouts, articles, test, etc. Blended class allows students to take two classes in one day.

California College also offers online classes. This allows students to come to class from anywhere. For example if your on vacation, in another state, out of town for business. Online classes saves students gas/ transportation money and allow the student to be in the comfort for their own home. California college's online classes are held in real time so it feels like your in a face to face classroom. Online class allows students to take two classes in one day.

 

High Tech Virtual Online Classes

Classes are taught in a Virtual Interactive Real-Time environment. Your Instructor will be in the virtual interactive classroom with you and your classmates. Virtual interactive study halls are open 24/7 for you and the members of your study group. Course materials are available 24/7 which includes videos, group activities, reading handouts, articles, test, etc. Students can schedule personal meeting with teachers Via the student's virtual classroom portal.

Devices Required: Students will need the fallowing to take part in Virtual Interactive online classes: (1) Internet access (2) Web Cam (3) Headphone with microphone (recommended).
